Suspect dies after being shot by state trooper on Route 28 in Quincy near the Randolph line

A suspect has died this morning after being shot by a state trooper during an altercation on Route 28 in Quincy near the Randolph line, State Police said.

The incident happened on the road at about 8:15 a.m., State Police said in a statement.

The suspect was taken to Milton Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

State Police released no further details but said they would brief media later this morning.
